Remember who you truly are.. 

In my life, I have come to feel, and I mean deeply feel, that we are shaped not only by what we read, or where we go, or what we think, but by who we choose to walk beside on this mortal journey.

The Savior did not just preach doctrine, He embodied it. He lived alongside His disciples. He prayed with them, ached with them, loved them. And in that proximity, their hearts learned to beat with His. There is something sacred that happens when souls draw near and walk together in righteousness.

Science tells us that when people connect deeply, breathing synchronizes, heartbeats align, brainwaves harmonize. But the scriptures told us this first:

“Be one, and if ye are not one ye are not mine.”
“Of one heart and one mind.”
“Knitted together in love.”

Heaven has always spoken the language of unity.

Now, I want to add a principle of profound spiritual consequence, one that echoes through psychology, scripture, and eternal identity. It has been said:

Watch your thoughts, for they become words.
Watch your words, for they become actions.
Watch your actions, for they become habits.
Watch your habits, for they become character.

Thoughts do not form in a vacuum. Words do not sprout from isolation. Actions are not born in emptiness.
We become like those we consistently stand beside.

If we spend time with cynicism, we will speak cynicism.
If we surround ourselves with anger, we will act with anger.
If we walk with those who cling to doubt, we will soon breathe doubt.
If our closest associations treat sacred things lightly, our habits will follow.

Likewise, if we spend time with those who radiate faith, we will speak faith.
If we walk with the prayerful, we will act with prayerfulness.
If our circle is made of the pure-hearted and the humble, habits of holiness will quietly form within us.
And over time, this shapes something eternally significant, our character.

I have known homes and individuals where the Spirit is felt before a single word is spoken, because the very character of the person invites heaven. They have chosen thoughts that elevate, words that heal, actions that bless, and habits that sanctify, and thus their character reflects the Savior.

We must remember that we are the beloved children of God. You were not created to be diminished by the spiritual static of the world. You were made to rise. Some relationships clarify our worth. Others make us question it. Some interactions deepen our peace. Others disturb it.

If someone draws you farther from the Spirit, pay attention.
If someone clouds your clarity, notice.
If someone weakens your hope, take that seriously.

The Lord commands us to stand in holy places.
Holy places are not only temples.
Holy places can be friendships.
Holy places can be relationships
Holy places can be families.
Holy places can be the company we keep.

Sometimes the holiest place you can stand is next to someone who loves the Lord.

May we, each of us, become that kind of soul, someone whose influence lifts another, someone whose presence brings the Spirit, someone whose thoughts, words, actions, and character point steadily, unmistakably, toward Jesus Christ.

I testify that our associations shape our eternal possibilities. If we walk with those who walk with Christ, life becomes holier, clearer, brighter, and more hopeful. Our hearts beat more like His. Our habits become sanctified. And slowly, almost imperceptibly, our character begins to reflect Him.

Recuerda quién eres realmente..

En mi vida, he llegado a sentir, y digo sentir profundamente, que somos formados no solo por lo que leemos, o a dónde vamos, o lo que pensamos, sino por quién elegimos caminar a nuestro lado en este viaje mortal.

El Salvador no solo predicó doctrina, Él la encarnó. Vivió junto a Sus discípulos. Oró con ellos, sufrió con ellos, los amó. Y en esa cercanía, sus corazones aprendieron a latir al ritmo del Suyo. Hay algo sagrado que ocurre cuando las almas se acercan y caminan juntas en rectitud.

La ciencia nos dice que cuando las personas se conectan profundamente, la respiración se sincroniza, los latidos se alinean, las ondas cerebrales se armonizan. Pero las Escrituras nos enseñaron esto primero:

“Sed uno, y si no sois uno no sois míos.”
“De un corazón y de una mente.”
“Unidos en amor.”

El cielo siempre ha hablado el lenguaje de la unidad.

Ahora quiero añadir un principio de profunda consecuencia espiritual, uno que resuena en la psicología, en las Escrituras y en la identidad eterna. Se ha dicho:

Cuida tus pensamientos, porque se convierten en palabras.
Cuida tus palabras, porque se convierten en acciones.
Cuida tus acciones, porque se convierten en hábitos.
Cuida tus hábitos, porque se convierten en carácter.

Los pensamientos no se forman en un vacío. Las palabras no brotan desde la soledad. Las acciones no nacen de la nada.
Nos convertimos en aquello junto a lo que permanecemos de manera constante.

Si pasamos tiempo con el cinismo, hablaremos con cinismo.
Si nos rodeamos de ira, actuaremos con ira.
Si caminamos con quienes se aferran a la duda, pronto respiraremos duda.
Si nuestras asociaciones más cercanas toman a la ligera las cosas sagradas, nuestros hábitos seguirán ese camino.

De la misma manera, si pasamos tiempo con quienes irradian fe, hablaremos con fe.
Si caminamos con los que oran, actuaremos con espíritu de oración.
Si nuestro círculo está formado por los puros de corazón y los humildes, hábitos de santidad comenzarán silenciosamente a formarse en nosotros.
Y con el tiempo, esto da forma a algo eternamente significativo, nuestro carácter.

He conocido hogares e individuos donde se siente el Espíritu antes de que se pronuncie una sola palabra, porque el carácter mismo de la persona invita al cielo. Han elegido pensamientos que elevan, palabras que sanan, acciones que bendicen y hábitos que santifican, y así su carácter refleja al Salvador.

Debemos recordar que somos los hijos amados de Dios. No fuiste creado para ser disminuido por el ruido espiritual del mundo. Fuiste hecho para elevarte. Algunas relaciones aclaran nuestro valor. Otras nos hacen cuestionarlo. Algunas interacciones profundizan nuestra paz. Otras la perturban.

Si alguien te aleja del Espíritu, presta atención.
Si alguien nubla tu claridad, obsérvalo.
Si alguien debilita tu esperanza, tómalo en serio.

El Señor nos manda a permanecer en lugares santos.
Los lugares santos no son solo los templos.
Los lugares santos pueden ser amistades.
Los lugares santos pueden ser relaciones.
Los lugares santos pueden ser familias.
Los lugares santos pueden ser la compañía que escogemos.

A veces, el lugar más santo donde puedes estar es al lado de alguien que ama al Señor.

Que podamos, cada uno de nosotros, convertirnos en ese tipo de alma, alguien cuya influencia eleva, alguien cuya presencia trae el Espíritu, alguien cuyos pensamientos, palabras, acciones y carácter señalan constante e inconfundiblemente hacia Jesucristo.

Testifico que nuestras asociaciones moldean nuestras posibilidades eternas. Si caminamos con quienes caminan con Cristo, la vida se vuelve más santa, más clara, más luminosa y más llena de esperanza. Nuestros corazones laten más como el Suyo. Nuestros hábitos se santifican. Y poco a poco, casi imperceptiblemente, nuestro carácter comienza a reflejarlo a Él.
