“Soft Hearts, Changed Lives: Breaking Habits and Traditions Through Christ”

Have you ever caught yourself repeating a cycle you promised you’d break? Maybe it’s a habit, a temper, a grudge, or even just a way of thinking that was created due to something or someone hurting you or maybe it’s been passed down for generations.

What keeps us stuck? Often, it’s not ignorance. It’s not even weakness. It’s the hardness of our hearts. We protect ourselves to the point that it becomes hard for our hearts to soften because of past hurt. But by doing this, we prevent ourselves from healing, from growing, from truly connecting with others—and with God.

A hardened heart may shield us from pain, but it also blocks out peace. It can keep us from forgiveness, from love, and from the transformation the Lord wants to work within us. In Ezekiel 36:26, God promises, "A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh."

Softening our hearts doesn't mean becoming vulnerable to more hurt it means becoming open to more healing. It means trusting that God can take the broken pieces and create something better than what we had before. It’s through a soft heart that change begins within us, and around us.

“Soft Hearts, Changed Lives: Breaking Habits and Traditions Through Christ”

So often our lives are determined by what we choose to do after mistakes, after failure, and after sin… Soft hearts are hearts that can be forgiven, healed, and transformed.”

The Danger of Hardened Traditions

Sometimes, we cling to traditions or habits that no longer serve our growth or reflect God’s will. As President Dieter F. Uchtdorf once said:

“We are not walking the path of discipleship to prolong traditions, but to come closer to Christ.”

Cultural habits, inherited beliefs, and even family norms can become stumbling blocks if we don’t allow the Spirit to soften our hearts and point us to better ways.

Motivational speaker Brendon Burchard put it this way:

“No change in circumstances can change your heart unless you are first willing to change it yourself.”

Scriptural Promises

The Lord tells us exactly what He will do with a soft heart:

“A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart… and I will give you an heart of flesh.”
(Ezekiel 36:26)

This is more than poetic language. It is a divine surgery God offers not just forgiveness, but transformation.

Turning to the Lord

The original image beautifully reminds us:

“So humbly turn to the Lord today, including in those hard moments when your pride tells you to rationalize or run.”

That moment when you justify your anger, avoid an apology, or retreat from a calling—that’s the very moment to soften your heart and let Christ in.

Final Invitation

Ask yourself:

  • What tradition or habit in my life is rooted in pride, not purpose?

  • What would a soft-hearted version of me do differently?

  • When was the last time I allowed Christ to truly change me?

Let today be the day you don’t run. Let it be the day you respond with softness, humility, and faith. Because a soft heart isn’t a weak heart—it’s the strongest, most Christlike heart of all.

Sacred Intimacy: Why Waiting for Marriage Strengthens Love, Trust, and Connection.

Nowadays everyone just has sex..it becomes as normal as kissing, or if you are horny..ill just take care of that need..What's happened is that in this world  physical connection is often mistaken for emotional closeness, waiting to have sex until marriage is becoming a rare but sacred commitment. Many see this principle as outdated, but what if it’s actually a divine design meant to protect, empower, and deepen our relationships?

The Sacred Nature of Intimacy

Sex is not just a physical act it’s a deeply spiritual, emotional, and psychological experience. Within the covenant of marriage, sexual intimacy becomes a sacred expression of love. It’s a bonding experience rooted in trust, mutual respect, and an eternal commitment.

The Apostle Paul taught in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20:
"Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit...? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies."

By waiting until marriage, couples show not only obedience to divine counsel but also profound respect for themselves and their partner. They choose to build a foundation of trust rather than lust, intimacy rather than infatuation, and commitment over convenience.

Psychological and Emotional Impacts of Premature Intimacy

Many people confuse sexual chemistry with love. Psychologists explain that sexual activity releases powerful chemicals like oxytocin (the bonding hormone), dopamine (the pleasure chemical), and endorphins (natural mood boosters). These chemicals can create a false sense of attachment or emotional closeness that masks incompatibility or lack of genuine connection.

As Dr. Joe Beam, relationship expert and founder of Marriage Helper, explains:

“When sex comes before deep emotional and spiritual connection, couples are more likely to ignore red flags and rush into relationships based on feelings instead of values.”

Over time, this confusion can lead to emotional distress, feelings of being used, trust issues, and even depression when the relationship ends. It can be heartbreaking to realize that what felt like love was merely a neurochemical reaction.

Biological Insights: What Happens in the Brain

When two people have sex, the brain floods with oxytocin and vasopressin, which are chemicals designed to promote bonding and trust. These are the same hormones released during childbirth and breastfeeding, which speaks to how deeply wired our bodies are to form lasting attachments through physical intimacy.

But here’s the issue: when bonding is formed outside of trust, safety, and commitment, it creates confusion. Our bodies bond, but our souls are unprotected. This is why many people feel “soul-tied” or emotionally entangled long after the physical relationship has ended.

What the Experts Say

Dr. Meg Meeker, pediatrician and author, writes:

“Sexual activity outside of a committed, loving relationship brings more harm than happiness. It often leads to confusion, guilt, and low self-worth, especially for young people trying to find lasting love.”

Dr. Les Parrott, psychologist and marriage expert, also says:

“Couples who wait until marriage report higher satisfaction in their relationship and better communication. The reason is simple they built their love on a foundation of values, not impulses.”

The Blessings of Waiting

  • Stronger Trust: You know your love isn’t based on physical attraction alone.

  • Spiritual Confidence: You feel peace knowing you’re living according to God’s will.

  • Deeper Connection: Emotional and mental intimacy grows without the confusion of premature bonding.

  • Reduced Regret: There's no shame or guilt clouding your memories or your future.

God’s commandments are not restrictions they are invitations to joy. He wants us to experience love in its most complete form: emotionally safe, spiritually aligned, and physically fulfilling. Waiting for marriage to have sex is a way of honoring God, ourselves, and the person we choose to love forever.

When a relationship is built on emotional connection, spiritual unity, trust, and genuine love not sex it creates a powerful foundation. Then, when you do marry and share that sacred intimacy, your bond becomes eternal and pure. Your love is deeper, your connection more sacred, and your relationship especially when sealed in the temple becomes unlike any other.

The majority of men look at women like sexual objects that’s why so many of them cheat.
All they see is a nice body, a pretty face, and they want to conquer it. Thats why sex is just sex to them and nothing more they go on to the next person without hesitation and without caring if the person they were with  created any type of feelings

But me? I see so much more when I look at you.

Yes, I’m absolutely attracted to you physically. I love everything about you
Not just your body, but the shape of your eyes, your lips, those two little moles I could stare at forever.
Your hair, the way you're so meticulous combing it so it looks just right
I notice it all. And I love it.
I love how no matter what you wear even when you have no clue what to wear, it just fits you. You always look so cute, so effortlessly beautiful.

Even the little things I love your cute snore. Your loud laughter and your cute giggle.
The way you’re shy to fart in front of me, or how you sometimes don’t want to kiss me in the morning
And yet, when I tell you I don’t care i just want to kiss you, you just love on me without limits.
That right there? That’s the real stuff. The kind of intimacy that has nothing to do with lust and everything to do with love.

Physically Yes, we’re incredibly compatible.
But that’s not what defines us. That’s not why I’m with you.

The reason I want my temple recommend is not just to be in  good standing with the Church and with God.
It’s because I want to show you that my love for you goes far beyond desire.
I want you to feel that I love your soul. I love your personality. I love the essence of who you are.

This is why I write you poems.
Why I open up and pour my heart into words so you can see this isn’t just passion.
It’s purpose. It’s partnership. It’s a need to have you by my side
To support me, to laugh with me, to learn and grow with me,
To face life together not just as lovers, but as eternal companions.

You are not just someone I want to sleep with.
You are someone I want to wake up next to every day of my life.
I want to build a home with you.
To hold your hand through every joy, every trial, every season.

You are my peace, my stability, my safe place.
Everything I do to get closer to God I do it with you in mind.
Because I love you.
Not just now, but for forever and ever.

How important is an eternal marriage?

One thing thats at the center of Gods eternal Plan for his children is the covenant of Eternal Marriage.

We live in a world full of lies, distractions, and selfishness all designed to pull us away from what matters most. 💍 Eternal Marriage: A Covenant That Lasts Forever

One thing that stands at the center of God's eternal plan for His children is the covenant of eternal marriage.

We live in a world filled with lies, distractions, and selfishness all carefully designed to pull us away from what matters most. Satan, the enemy of all that is good, fiercely attacks the sacred institution of marriage because he knows how central it is to God’s plan. He seeks to distort love, mock commitment, and replace divine joy with fleeting pleasures.

But while Satan works to tear down, God lifts us up.

Through faith, love, and sacred covenants, marriage becomes far more than a social agreement. It becomes something divinely beautiful and eternal. It becomes a reflection of heaven.

💫 What Are the Blessings of a Christ-Centered Marriage?

  • The promise of being together forever, not just "till death do us part"

  • Strength to withstand trials and temptations

  • Unity in raising children in love and righteousness

  • A shared purpose in building the Lord’s kingdom

  • The companionship of the Holy Ghost in their home

  • An eternal increase and joy beyond mortal comprehension

Marriage is not just a social structure. It is a sacred and eternal covenant. And like everything that matters most in life, we must prepare for it. We must go to the temple, prioritize our relationship with Jesus Christ, and never let the noise of the world drown out one of God’s greatest truths: that love can last forever when it is sealed by His power.

💔 A Story That Stays With Me

I once heard the story of an elderly couple who had been married for over 60 years. Their life had been far from easy. They had lost a child, struggled financially, and battled through health challenges. But through it all, they remained deeply committed not just to each other, but to God.

One day, they sat in a quiet sealing room in the temple, not to be sealed (they already were), but to simply sit and reflect. As they held hands, the husband whispered, “I would do it all again, every moment of pain and joy because eternity with you is worth everything.”

There was no showiness in that moment. No grand gestures. Just covenant love quiet, powerful, and everlasting. Their love had been refined through time, sacrifice, and Christ. It wasn’t perfect. But it was eternal.

💬 Words from a Prophet

President Gordon B. Hinckley once said:
“True love is not so much a matter of romance as it is a matter of anxious concern for the well-being of one’s companion.”

This kind of love—unselfish, enduring, rooted in Christ—is what eternal marriage is made of.

So believe in marriage. Not just in the idea of it, but in the divine truth of it.

Prepare for the temple. Date with purpose. Marry with faith. And always keep nurturing your covenant and love daily.Make your partner fall in love with you every waking moment.

God has given us the incredible gift of eternal companionship not just to get through this life, but to grow into something gloriously eternal in the next. Don’t let the world convince you to settle for less.

"The Home God Took Apart"

"The Home God Took Apart"

We thought it was perfect.

The little house we built with our own hands—
The walls painted with memories,
The windows letting in just enough light,
The roof patched up with plans and prayers.
It wasn’t grand, but it was ours.

Then God came to visit.

He walked through the rooms quietly,
Fingertips brushing the edges of photographs,
Eyes resting on the cracks we’d grown used to.
He smiled—
Not at what was,
But at what could be.

And then, He began to tear it down.

One wall at a time.
The ones we leaned on.
The ones we built to keep others out.
The ones we built to hide behind.

We cried out,
"Why are You doing this?
This is our shelter!
This is where we’ve lived so long!"

But He kept working,
Unmoved by our panic,
Steady with purpose.

Brick by brick,
He cleared the ground.

And there, in the dust and silence,
He whispered,
"I’m not destroying your home—
I’m expanding it."

So He laid a new foundation.
Deeper. Stronger.
He carved hallways wide enough for grace to walk through.
He placed windows that faced heaven,
So the light could pour in without asking.

He built rooms we never dared to dream of,
Spaces for laughter, healing, and purpose.
A mansion, not made with human hands,
But crafted by divine design.

And slowly,
We understood.

Sometimes God has to take apart what we cling to,
To give us what we were made for.
Not to hurt us—
But to rebuild us.

Not to take from us—
But to give us more.

And the mansion He builds
Will always be
Home.

Sometimes, life feels like it’s falling apart:

  • We lose something we thought was essential a job, a relationship, an opportunity.

  • We go through hard trials: sickness, disappointment, failure, financial hardship, family struggles.
We wonder, "I’m trying to be a good person so why is this happening to me?"

  • We feel like we’re doing our best, yet life keeps getting harder.

These moments might feel like God is “tearing down your house.”

But what’s really happening is this:

God sees a bigger future for you than you see for yourself.

He knows your “house” might have weak walls, small windows, or parts that won’t last through the storms ahead. So, in love not punishment He begins to rebuild.
Not because you’re failing, but because He wants to bless you with something far greater than you imagined.

What Can We Do to Let Him Work on Us?

We need to remember:
Everything we have our health, our talents, our family, even our time is given to us by God.
With one thought, our entire situation could change.

So what can we possibly give to Him that He doesn’t already own?

Elder Neal A. Maxwell said it best:
“The submission of one’s will is really the only uniquely personal thing we have to place on God’s altar… it is the only possession which is truly ours to give.”

That’s our sacred offering: the willingness to follow Him voluntarily.

Sometimes we rely too much on our own talents or strength. We think, “God gave me this gift, so I can handle this myself.”
But the truth is He already owns those gifts.

So what else can we do, so He can truly build us into who we’re meant to become?

  • Trust the Builder   even when life doesn’t make sense.

  • Let go of control  we often cling to what’s small and safe, while God is offering us more.

  • Be patient construction takes time. So does growth.

  • Watch for what He’s creating  the blessings may not come right away, but they will come.

🎸 Another Analogy: The Guitar

Think of life like a guitar.

If you flip it over and try to play the back, what kind of sound will it make?
Probably none. But technically, you can choose to play it that way. That’s your will.

If you flip it the right way and start strumming without learning anything about music without chords, rhythm, or practice it might make noise, but it won’t make music.

Now, imagine taking the time to learn.
You study the chords, learn timing, understand harmony, and practice every day.

Suddenly, you can make music that moves people.

You can lift hearts, inspire smiles, bring peace.
People will want to sing with you. Some might cry not out of sorrow, but because your song touches something deep in their soul

That’s what this is all about.

Letting God shape us into who we’re meant to be.
Putting in the effort to learn, to grow, to seek Him through scripture, prayer, service, and love.

When we’re humble enough to allow this transformation,
we become instruments in His hands.

Like a beautiful song, we begin to inspire others not to become like us, but to become more like Him.

They will feel our love.
They will feel His warmth.
And they’ll want to sing along each in their own way, following Him along their own path.

And that is the music of discipleship.
That is the mansion He’s building.
That is what it means to trust the Master Builder.

Spiritual solar eclipses.

The solar eclipse. For a few short moments, the sky grows dark, the air cools, and the world seems to pause as the moon moves between the earth and the sun. But as awe-inspiring as it is, the eclipse teaches us something deeper—a spiritual truth about our relationship with God.

The sun represents God’s love, light, and truth.

The earth is where we are—trying to see and feel that light.

The moon represents the things that get in the way—distractions, temptations, sin, or even good things that pull our focus away from what matters most.

The moon is much smaller than the sun, but when it’s in the wrong position, it can completely block our view of the sun.

Isn’t that just like life?

Sometimes, the things we let get between us and God aren’t big or obviously evil—they’re just in the wrong place. A small sin, an unchecked distraction, or an over-focus on worldly things can eclipse the light of Christ in our lives.

When we stop reading our scriptures, when prayer becomes occasional, when we prioritize success, money, or popularity over spiritual things, we slowly let the “moon” slide into view.

This doesn’t usually happen all at once. Satan works in small degrees. He places little things—small sins or misaligned priorities—between us and God. And if we don’t course-correct, we can find ourselves in a total spiritual eclipse, wondering why we no longer feel the Spirit or why God feels far away.

Some examples of Spiritual eclipses, Setting the wrong priorities, Social Media, spending too much time watching, or sometimes just being busy with life can stop us from feeding ourselves Sprirituall.

Holding grudges or harboring bad feelings towards someone, allowing bitterness into our heart blocks the light of forgiveness.

The good news is that eclipses are temporary. The sun always comes back. And spiritually, God never moves—we are the ones who drift.

If we repent, realign, and shift our focus back to Christ, His light will return with full power and warmth.

The Lord promised in Doctrine and Covenants 88:67:

“And if your eye be single to my glory, your whole bodies shall be filled with light.”

When we focus on Him, distractions and distortions lose their power

How to Avoid Spiritual Eclipses

  1. Daily Scripture Study – like eclipse glasses, the scriptures help us see clearly and safely.

  2. Prayer – reconnects us with the source of light.

  3. Repentance – removes the shadows from our souls.

  4. Sabbath Day Observance – recenters our focus on eternal truths.

  5. Service and Temple Worship – keeps us living in the light.

The adversary doesn't need to turn us into rebels—he just needs to distract us or rearrange our priorities. And sometimes, the things that get in the way of God aren't evil—they're just in the wrong place.

Let’s ask ourselves:

“What is coming between me and God right now?”
“What small thing might be blocking the light I need?”

The Lord is full of mercy. His light is constant, warm, and healing. And when we choose to remove those spiritual shadows, we will again feel the sun of His love upon our face.

What is your Spiritual Gift?

Sometimes we associate gifts with Talents but in reality Heavenly Father gives us gifts that we may not know have been gifts from Him...For example, I love fixing things, If a friend that cannot change a light bulb is in a bind, Heavenly Father has allowed me to have this gift so that I can help and serve other people? Maybe you have the gift of listening, teaching, giving heartfelt advice...maybe you love in a way that makes that one person or many people feel special..the point is that we have those gifts we just have to identify what they are and use them.

The many gifts we might not know we have or can receive...

One of my favorite stories from the Bible is when the Lord walked on water toward the apostles. Initially, they thought He was a ghost. These were men who had witnessed Christ perform miracles and knew they were being taught by the Messiah, yet they were terrified, believing they saw a spirit. Despite this, Peter said:

“Lord, if it’s you, tell me to come to you on the water.” Jesus replied, “Come,” and Peter stepped out of the boat, beginning to walk toward Him on the water. Peter had received the gift and testimony of faith. However, when he shifted his focus away from the Savior and noticed the winds and waves, he began to sink.

I love this story because Peter was a rugged fisherman—probably someone you wouldn't want to cross, as he might hurt you verbally or physically. Yet, despite being someone just like us, he received the same power that Jesus Christ had: the power of faith—the power to do anything the Savior could do.

Heavenly Father gives us these gifts because He knows that if we show even a little faith, we can accomplish anything we set our minds to.

Here is a list of some gifts we might not even realize we possess:

Elder Marvin J. Ashton of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles (1915–94) highlighted some less conspicuous but very important gifts: “the gift of asking; the gift of listening; the gift of hearing and using a still, small voice; the gift of being able to weep; the gift of avoiding contention; the gift of being agreeable; the gift of avoiding vain repetition; the gift of seeking that which is righteous; the gift of not passing judgment; the gift of looking to God for guidance; the gift of being a disciple; the gift of caring for others; the gift of being able to ponder; the gift of offering prayer; the gift of bearing a mighty testimony; and the gift of receiving the Holy Ghost” .

It's amazing how we have easy access to these gifts. All it takes is our effort to stay close to Him, remain worthy, and keep His commandments. By doing so, we open the door to these divine blessings.

Conclusion:

In moments of doubt or fear, like Peter on the stormy sea, we might falter. Yet, the Savior's hand is always extended, ready to lift us. By recognizing and nurturing the spiritual gifts we've been given, we not only strengthen our own faith but also become instruments in God's hands to bless others. Let us strive to identify these gifts within ourselves and use them to draw nearer to Christ and uplift those around us.

The Church of Jesus Christ+2discursosud.files.wordpress.com+2EnlaceDeFe.org+2

Living life keeping the end in mind

President Nelson in a talk counseled that "we should live our lives with the end in mind"

Prioritizing eternal goals over temporary gratification

Living intentionally, with clarity about what truly matters

Making decisions based on who you want to become, not just what you feel in the moment

Letting the perspective of eternity guide your day-to-day life

Every choice is a fork in the road leading us toward or away from eternal life. Keeping the end in mind helps us choose liberty.

Whats interesting is that God work is focused on our eternal outcome...Shouldnt ours be the same?

Alma 34:32

“This life is the time for men to prepare to meet God…”

Insight: This verse is a wake-up call. Life isn’t just about passing time but preparing for an eternal reunion.

Preseindent Nelson also said:

Think Celestial” (Oct 2023)

“Thinking celestial will help you to stay spiritually strong. Thinking celestial will help you to avoid getting tangled in the adversary’s clever snares. Thinking celestial will bring you joy and peace.”

Stephen R. CoveyThe 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

“Begin with the end in mind means to begin each day, task, or project with a clear vision of your desired direction and destination.

James ClearAtomic Habits

“Every action you take is a vote for the type of person you wish to become.”

Viktor FranklMan’s Search for Meaning

“Those who have a ‘why’ to live, can bear with almost any ‘how.’”

Here are ways to live with the end in mind:

  • Choose relationships over resentment

  • Invest in your spiritual habits—prayer, scripture, Sabbath, temple

  • Say “no” to distractions that detour you from your divine destiny

  • Forgive quickly, love deeply, and live purposefully

So as we walk the path of discipleship, may we do so with eyes lifted toward eternity. Let us live not just for the moment, but for the forever. Every prayer, every kind word, every quiet act of obedience is a step toward the divine destiny our Heavenly Father sees in us.

Let us choose to live with the end in mind—not out of fear of judgment, but out of love for Him who gave us the chance to return home.

“When we have an eternal perspective, even the hardest days become stepping stones to glory.” — Anonymous

And so, let us press forward—with purpose, with faith, and with heaven in our hearts

The Power of change

Elder Holland on Change

When you have sinned and recognized the seriousness of your mistakes, your most crucial challenge will be to believe that you can change, that there can be a different you. To disbelieve that is clearly a Satanic device designed to discourage and defeat you. Repentance is not a foreboding word. It is, following faith, the most encouraging word in the Christian vocabulary. You can change! You can be anything you want to be in righteousness.

If there is one lament I cannot abide, it is the poor, pitiful, withered cry, “Well, that’s just the way I am.” If you want to talk about discouraging attitudes, that is one that discourages me. Please spare me your speeches about “That’s just the way I am.” I’ve heard that from too many people who wanted to sin and call it psychology. And I use the word sin to cover a vast range of habits which bring discouragement and doubt and despair.

You can change anything you want to change and you can do it very fast. It is another Satanic falsehood to believe that it takes years and years and eons of eternity to repent. It takes exactly as long to repent as it takes you to say “I’ll change”—and mean it. Of course there will be problems to work out and restitutions to make. You may well spend—indeed, you had better spend—the rest of your life proving your repentance by its permanence. But change, growth, renewal, and repentance can come for you as instantaneously as it did for Alma and the Sons of Mosiah.

Excerpt taken from
https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/liahona/2017/02/youth/how-to-change?lang=eng

Change is hard but it can happen.

Lets break down why people change and if change can be permanent or if people can go back to who they were before...

Reasons why people change:

A Desire to Come Closer to God

“Draw near unto me and I will draw near unto you.” —D&C 88:63

Change often happens when we feel inside that we need to do things different, when we feel that everything we've done has taken us to a place where we are stuck, then we can feel the Spirit whisper to us that there is more for you, That God has a highter calling and a higher path for you and you can feel that that is true.

Feeling the Weight of Sin

Sometimes  the weight of our sins make the guilt feelings pile on top of each other, so we grow tired of living in guilt but mainly we grow tired of the spiritual emptiness that we feel on a daily. When we make those changes and are consistent  we start feeling that weight disappear, Forgiveness makes us feel lighter and this feeling also motivates us to continue on our path to complete change

The Influence of the Holy Ghost

After we've been baptized, the Spirit will make us feel we need to get on the right path, it will make us feel prompting about change, it will nudge us to feel that we need to get back on the path to change.

A Personal Crisis or Wake-Up Call

Sometimes the Lord allows painful experiences or events in our lives, Loss, addictions even heartbreak that will shake us awake These moments are like a crossroad where we have to choose and decide what is important to us in life and if we want to take that same path that has caused us pain and sorrow or a path that will lead us to happiness, strength and love

 Love

Love Mainly to God first can be the greatest motivator for change, but also Love for a loved one, restoring and repairing  the hurt that you have caused, wanting to make up for what you have done to see the person you've hurt be happy  and feel loved once again.

Time

Once we've realized that we need to change, we also realize all the precious time that we have wasted and dont want to waste any more time, we want to double our pace and make change permanent so that we can start making up for time that was lost.

We Envision a Better Future

Hope sparks change. When someone catches a glimpse of what their life could be, they begin moving in that direction. When we have examples of people that we admire and want to emulate, We envision our life as good or better than those people.

Change can be Instantaneous

Change Can Be Instantaneous

While change often takes time, spiritual breakthroughs can happen quickly when the heart is open and the will is aligned with God

In the Book of Mormon Alma the younger, one who persecuted the church, changed almost instanty..His transformation was radical, fast and permanent because his heart was truly Broken and open

“I was in the darkest abyss; but now I behold the marvelous light of God.”
—Alma 26:16

Remember, no matter how far you've fallen or how long you've been stuck, you are never beyond the reach of God's love or the power of His grace.

Change is hard—but it’s holy. It begins the moment you decide that where you've been is not where you want to stay. When you surrender your pride, open your heart, and invite the Savior in, He can transform you in an instant—just like He did with Alma, Paul, and so many others who once walked in darkness.

Yes, some change takes time. Habits may take weeks or months to rebuild. But the decision to change—the spiritual turning point—can happen in a single moment of honesty and humility.

And when your desire to draw closer to God is real, when your heart aches to heal what you've broken and to become who you were always meant to be—God meets you there. Instantly. Powerfully. Lovingly.

“Ye shall be changed—even in the twinkling of an eye—from mortality to immortality.”
—Mosiah 27:25

That’s not just about resurrection. That’s about spiritual rebirth. A new heart. A new mind. A new direction.

You can become someone new.
You can repair what was broken.
You can restore what was lost.

Not because of your willpower alone, but because the power of Jesus Christ is real—and He can make you more than you ever thought possible.

So today, choose change.
Choose light.
Choose love.
Choose Christ.

And when you do, watch how fast Heaven moves to meet you.

“Acercaos a mí y yo me acercaré a vosotros.”
—DyC 88:63

Elige a Cristo.

The Temple....our Temple

Every single temple has in the front engraved in stone HOLINESS TO THE  LORD.
This is because the temple is sacred and any one who enters should be striving to remain worthy or Holy to be able to visit the Lord in his house.

We have been taught that our bodies are a temple also and that we should treat it with the same respect we have for the Temple. So if our bodies are like the temple, lets see what the Church leaders remind us of of the many blessings that the temple brings us and how it compares to our lives:

“I promise you that the Lord will bring the miracles He knows you need as you make sacrifices to serve and worship in His temples.”
—President Russell M. Nelson

If we selflessly serve others, sacrifice our time for others, We become instruments in the Lords hands and are able to heal and bring miracles to other peoples lives. Through our example and our compassionate actions we can bring healing and uplifting to peoples heart, make them feel the spirit of the Lord the way its felt at the Temple.

Elder Gary E. Stevenson: “You are never lost when you can see the temple.”

The temple lifts us, exalts us, stands as a beacon for all to see.”
—President Thomas S. Monson

When we are following the Lord we will always have our sense of direction because the Holy Sprit will guide us and we will be able to lead other people with our light and example.

“Every foundation stone that is laid for a Temple...lessens the power of Satan on the earth.”
—President George Q. Cannon

Even in times of trials and tribulations, if we remain faithful our spirituality will remain strong like the foundations of a Temple. Satan will have no power over us.

“As you contribute to this sacred work, your knowledge and faith in the Savior will increase.”
—Elder Neil L. Andersen

The more we get closer to our Heavenly Father the more we will get to know him

“The temple brings peace to our souls—not the peace provided by men but the peace promised by the Son of God.”
—President Thomas S. Monson

Living a temple worthy life brings peace to our souls.

In conclusion, the temple stands as a sacred symbol of our commitment to God, reminding us of the holiness we should strive for in our daily lives. As we align our actions with the covenants made within its walls, we invite the Lord's presence into our hearts and homes. By treating our bodies as temples and living in accordance with divine principles, we not only draw nearer to our Heavenly Father but also become instruments in His hands to bless others. The peace, guidance, and strength found in temple worship can permeate every aspect of our lives, leading us on a path of righteousness and eternal joy.

This Webelieve refers to how every meeting is different because it should be inspired by the spirit according to the needs of the people of the ward. That's why there are always different topics in the talks and people give examples that might help other members in the congregation...

Personally, The way this applies to me is that every day is a different day, we have challenges, some may be the same and there can be different ones but regardless we need to ask always for guidance. For help. Everything and anything we have its because it has been given to us and can be taken away in an instance...when we realize that...We understand that if we ask for help he will help and guide us.

Joy. What it should means for us?

The scriptures say that Jesus was anointed witht he oil of joy or oil of gladness.

What does this mean? It means that Christ is the example of divine joy, not the happiness that good humor or a happiness that a material possessing brings, its a deep, eternal joy rooted in righteousness and holiness.
His joy is greater than others because he was completelty obedient and in unity with Heavenly Father.

What does that mean for us?

In school, the mood that a teacher brings to the classroom will reflect on their students, If they see their teacher happy to be there, loving, they will do their work with joy

Same goes with work or as a parent in your house,

As followers of Christ we show joy by living with Gratitude. A thankful heart will always express joy.

Serving others cheerfully the scriptures tell us... Mosiah 2:17 – “When ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God.”
Joy is multiplied when we share our time, our resources by helping others. People can see that Christlike love when we are helping someone in need.

keeping the commandments willingly John 15:10–11 – “If ye keep my commandments... that your joy might be full.”

Obedience brings peace and confidence. Living righteously not out of obligation but love. through our action we have something that other people see...we shine with joy and because of that..it becomes contagious, other people question us why we are so happy.

We are happy even in our moments of trails

A faithful attitude in trials shows trust in God’s plan and reflects a joy that is unshakable

Let our joy shine..be a light to everyone around us.

Matthew 5:16 – “Let your light so shine…”
A joyful follower of Christ uplifts others, not by pretending life is perfect, but by showing peace, hope, and purpose even when it’s hard.
